Come February and Delhi won’t be the same for theatre lovers, artists and critics!

The harbinger of gaiety, festivity and creativity, 21st Bharat Rang Mahotsav, a three-week long sojourn at the National School of Drama, Delhi will open with Kusur, a play by Amol Palekar, and close with Ratan Thiyam’s production Laiembigee Ishei.

This year the festival has 91 productions including 10 foreign productions, 12 Folk performances and 8 student diploma productions. The extended venue-cities of the 21st BRM are Shillong, Dehradun, Nagpur and Puducherry.

While the evenings would be filled with the celebration of national and international talent, India’s heritage, and NSD students’ culminating projects, there is a platter of allied activities during the day. These are:

  • 2nd February 2020 onward – Meet the Director (between 10.30 am to 1.00 pm every day)
  • 15th & 16th February 2020 – National Seminar on Theatre as Social Responsibility or Public Need
  • 17th & 18th February 2020 – World Theatre Forum on Theatre Performances and Festivals – An Emerging Site for Contestation and Debate
  • Living Legends & Master Classes
  • Advitiya (Youth Forum)
  • Ambience Performances
